Our decision in all matters to do with the Content will be final.
Entry
The Contest opens on February 1, 2022. The closing time and date for receipt of entries is March 15, 2022.
Contestants are free to submit one entry.
To enter the Contest, Contestants must do the following:
Projects
Projects will be accepted from all types of science, technology, math, or engineering. Projects that involve human responses such as “Can people tell the difference between regular and low-fat versions of a product?” are also acceptable, though it is often very difficult to obtain a significant enough sample size to do such projects well.
Projects that involve use of hazardous substances or devices will not be allowed. (For example: prescription drugs, DEA-controlled substances or illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, explosives)
Projects involving experimentation on non-human vertebrate animals or potentially hazardous biological agents will not be allowed. Projects involving common, low-risk biological agents such as bread mold can be acceptable, though the samples should not be brought with to the science fair (use pictures instead). Projects prohibited by your school. If you have questions, ask your principal.
A Contestant’s Video entries must be entirely original to the Contestant.
Entries must be completed in accordance with the entry process set out above. No other method of entry will be accepted. Entries that do not meet these criteria may not be considered.
Entries will not be complete until Contestants have uploaded their video entry and accepted these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries submitted and/or finalized after the Contest has closed.
All video entries will be subject to moderation. We and/or their agents have absolute discretion to accept or reject any video entry and to remove any video entry already accepted without giving reasons for the decision. We may in particular refuse to upload any video entry for the following reasons:
By entering the Contest Contestants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current, and complete. Contestants also warrant that they are the copyright owners of their video entries which must be original works and must not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or any other rights of a third party.
By entering the Contest, Contestants understand and agree that:
Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, inaudible, incomprehensible, may be void.
In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of the entry, or the operation of any part of the Contest, or the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision we make shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
We will not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred in entering the Contest.
We reserve the right to disqualify any Contestants and/or entries which it believes have not been made in compliance with these Terms and Conditions or to disqualify any Contestant found to have tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to threaten, abuse or harass any other person.
